Yesterday was my "day off" from the gym. I only took the day off because 1) I'd worked out Monday-Friday last week, and 2) I had to clean a house yesterday, and that is certainly a physical activity. Then I ate 1800 calories yesterday instead of 1500 that is my daily goal, so I promised myself I would go back to the gym after my day off, and I especially wanted to after I realized I'd gone over my calories.
I just got back from the gym. I worked out for an hour, total -- 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the recumbent bike. I wanted to put in some extra time because of the extra calories I had last night, and because today is FOOTBALL SUNDAY! I bought myself a six-pack of Michelob Ultra (only 96 calories per beer), so I'm going to enjoy one or two at some point today. My husband bought Tofurky brats yesterday at the store, so we're having those today with the football game. I love Football Sunday. Not even so much for the games, although they are certainly fun to watch. I just love how they bring my family together. We spend the whole day happy, laughing, hooting and hollering over great plays...or bad ones. We eat yummy food and just enjoy each other's company and the entire day. It's not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Ok...I'm off to log my exercises and take a shower. I pulled some muscles in my back yesterday (I think I did it at the house I cleaned) so I'm going to have Husband rub some more Muscle Rub into my back. That stuff does seem to help. I think I'll spend the rest of the day on my heating pad.
