Christmas Tree

Sunday, November 24, 2013

Last night I wrote a friend I would take my Christmas Tree out and shape it, that task done. Then I decided to light the tree up. I have four strands of multi coloured lights. Two of them came out in perfect operation. The third one did not work at all. So I went through the process of finding burnt out light bulbs. Out of 100, 24 were fried! It took me two hours to find all of these. Well I fixed the string. I have one more string to go, and only half the bulbs do not work. It was dark by this time, so I straightened out all I had down and on Sunday I will tackle the last one.

Tree decorating!! I have a fiber optic tree. Take it out of the bag, plug it in, it works. Of course, my granddaughter commented on it only once and said, "This is so wrong!"

Good luck with those lights!!

Happy Christmas Tree trimming! emoticon emoticon Sounds like a lot of hard work, but it will look great once you get through it. I need to do a a lot of cleaning to prepare for the tree to go up. I'm not yet in Christmas spirit, but it will find me soon enough.
God Bless!

You are a patient man for going through those like that and finding the burnt out ones. I'm impressed. Hope finishing it today goes much more smoothly!

You have a lot of patience. I would have thrown them away and bought new ones.

I had a busy day...no tree decorating for me. I'll have to get busy with that next week. Still trying to get some things done for my old ladies at the nursing home for turkey day...then the big push to get the lights and snowflakes hung outside...I love snow and have a beautiful collection of lighted snowflakes that I leave up all winter, just to light up my long nights. I'm really excited to get it all out and go through it. Glad you got started. Did you check out the trains?? Did I tell you I have the Hershey's train? All the box cars have a candy wrapper paint job...like Mr. Goodbar, Krackle, etc. It's never been out of the box...it was a gift when I got my journeyman electrician locomotive status. This is the year it comes out of the box! I promise I'll get pictures.
