Brrrrrr... Mercy me.

Sunday, November 24, 2013

Well, my nostalgia for winter weather obviously was heard on high. Our normally balmy Texas temperatures have plummeted. It got to a whopping 43 F today and is supposed to labor up to 39 F tomorrow and Monday. Brisk! But I LOVE it!

I dug into the back of my closet and unearthed my old sweaters and turtlenecks. To my great delight I can still wear them, though one or two seem a wee bit too snug for modesty's sake. So even though I gained back the five pounds I had lost prior to my wedding, my body seems to have started to re-proportion itself since I've made an attempt to be more active daily.

My goal for the next month and a half is to hold the line on my weight. No additional weight gain, and maybe chipping away at the five pounds that returned on vacation. I accept the fact that there will be tempting things until the new year. But I resolve to taste only a little and NOT pig out. And in between temptation, I shall walk. Yes, indeed. It is brisk and lovely. And I shall walk while it seems like winter in Texas.

I am so glad that you are enjoying the chill to the air and finding ways to enjoy it as well. I love your attitude about your small weight gain and your determination to hold it at bay through the holiday season. Stay positive and hang in there, you can do it staying strong together !!!

It sure is frigid here in Ohio, as well! It's a pleasant find to locate stashed sweaters and turtlenecks in this wintery fall!

Our weather in Albuquerque radically changed the last few days - from pleasant highs near 60, to highs below 40. Brrr - snowing & blowing

Winter in our part of Texas is usually quite pleasant (but this cold rain is not very appealing I have to admit) ... I AM looking forward to wearing some sweaters put away since last year!
