I have been poking along riding my bike, going to the gym sometimes, and walking with my dog. It has been working pretty well so far but I want to reach a goal. It will require me to be more diligent with my exercise plan. One are of opportunity for me is the morning. I am NOT a morning person but I don't have to be at work until 10 am. If I could get up at 6:30 then I could work out, walk the dog, shower, and get to work on time! (Imagine that!!) I have trouble getting out of bed and I hit snooze 100 times. This week, I am going to move my alarm to the other side of the bedroom so I have to get out of bed and I WILL go to the gym!
I want to jog/run a 5k on Jan 1st. To do that, I have to finish the Rookie Running program. I have been stuck on week 4. I did day 2 of week 4 today and I was really easy. I don't know why. So if I train diligently until 1/1/14 I should be able to run/jog the 5K.
The next goal is the Esprit de She Duathon in May. I have a friend that has given me some training tips but the first step is to lengthen the duration I can run.
Tomorrow is my 30+ mile bike ride and Monday I will complete day 3 of week 4 of the Rookie Running program.
