Well, I am home and dealing with my loss. I am finding out who "Oona" really is now. For 22 1/2 years I was half of a whole and now I have to be whole on my own. So, one of the things I would really like to do is feel comfortable in my own body. To do that, I need to start exercising, eating better and living.
The past 2 weeks, I have been tracking food, exercising and doing different things that I wanted to do in the past. For instance, last night I took my 13 year old nephew to the District Championship Football game because the local team was playing. It was cold, rainy, packed full of people but I HAD A GREAT TIME!!!! We ran into his mother's cousin and her husband there and some other people that I knew from the area. I thought that I'd feel like I didn't belong but I was yelling and cheering with everyone else. (BTW, They won!!!) I did alot of walking during the game instead of just sitting. (I volunteered to get hot chocolate and snacks at halftime, used the bathroom on the opposite side of the stadium to get extra steps in. ) I have lost 4.7 lbs in the past two weeks.
I have the tools needed to do this available to me. Sparkpeople, exercise equipment, time and above all, dedication!!! I can and will succeed at doing this! Join me and we will do this!!!!
