John McDougall MD on Autoimmune Disease and the Impact of Diet. It's a wonderful movie. He explains how the diet affects our bodies. People with autoimmune issues have leaky gut syndrome. He shows how meat and dairy can cause autoimmune issues by crossing the gut barrier allowing the proteins to enter our blood stream which causes an autoimmune reaction. This reaction can cause most commonly diabetes and other diseases like multiple sclerosis. It's not new information, in fact I learned the basics of this 20 years ago when I was in college in physiology. My professor who was a Dr. said it was the reason he avoided these products. Dr. McDougall tells which diet is the most helpful for healing MS.

I encourage everyone to watch it as it has some great ideas.

Thanks for the links - I'll definitely check it out later. I noted some other interesting ones on that page, too.

Unfortunately for me, lots of it is based on a vegan conference, and I can't go all-veg. My own AI issues simply won't allow it... and I do feel we're omnivores and meats aren't meant to be wholly off our menu. But I know that it works for many people and they love it! so if you're one of those, don't neglect to look at some of the other links to vids posted on the top of the page of the original link listed in this blog.

I'm interested to follow a few of the ones which seem more widely applicable, too.
    Thanks for the info!
