Gray and gloomy...

Friday, November 22, 2013

Well, I rescued my neighbor from the elevator last night. I just pushed the outside button up here on the 3rd floor and the door opened. She said she is taking the stairs from now on! (That will only last until the next time she goes grocery store.)

Today was a gray and gloomy day. Got a good walk in with Cooper this morning, but once again his evening plans seem to consist of staking claim to my lap. I don't blame him in the least. The forecast is calling for Lake Effect snow this weekend... up to 6 inches. Good thing I finally got a new Winter coat and some nice gloves.

Got a little house cleaning done this afternoon. Basically, I didn't feel like doing much today... But my fitness streak lives on. Today was Day 791.

Glad your neighbor isn't stranded in the elevator. The elevator in our building gets a little weird sometimes. You can be going up just fine. Then it stops with a jolt. There's a lot of clicking noises and then the elevator goes back down to the basement level. More clicking. Long wait. Clicks some more and then up you go like nothing happened. It's unnerving.

I walked my pups this morning in grey cloudy weather - wind chill like 27 degrees, with gusts up to 54 mph. The fluffies loved it. The chihuahua spent most of the walk tucked into my jacket and giving me sad looks. We barely made a mile!

    Yay for you!

Not for fear of elevators, but for fitbit fun, I take the stairs at work (I'm on the 5th floor) starting to make a difference. I can't believe I still lose my breath.
