Change Of Plans

Friday, November 22, 2013

We didn't get to do our practice walk for the 5k as planned. The sky had dark black clouds all day emoticon . Hubbie was afraid once we drove all the way over to the 5k area and start to walk, it would pour down rain on us. So far it hasn't rained. Isn't that the way of it? I told him we could get a good walk in here in our neighborhood. It is suppose to rain tomorrow all day. emoticon So I guess we will have to delay the practice walk, until Sunday or Monday. I have done very good with eating. emoticon I have been feeling tired today and some back problems. The back pain wasn't as bad as I expected, after working in the yard for hours yesterday. I am glad for that. I have found the more I work those muscles in my back, in given time, the pain will lessen. At least most of the time. I have been working on my back muscles since all those surgeries last fall. I am just now coming around to having a stronger back. It has taken a lot of painful work to get here. I still have some really bad days, but I am feeling very good about my progress. I feel blessed by the LORD that I can do the things I do. emoticon

    Don't overdo

If you weather is like ours, it just feels so chilly and the moisture in the air does not help with getting an outdoor exercise in.

Today is bright and sunny. I'm heading outside for a brisk walk - maybe a slow jog. Winter has arrived in New England! Temperatures in the 20s! Yikes!

I sort of believe in that saying, no bad weather, only bad clothes/equipment. But sometimes the rain is a deterrent to me too. Hope your next active day is easier!

You have worked really hard and just imagine how thankful you will be as time passes that you did the hard work. Sorry you missed out on the 5k. That's life for ya. emoticon

Great that your back is better than you thought. I'm sorry the weather interfered with your walk! It is extremely cold here, it did not get above freezing, and I am finding it harder to be inspired to walk outdoors (also it is dark after I get off work). So I am walking (and dancing) indoors in front of the television. It is much more inspiring when I can walk outside!
