Yesterday was the first real taste of winter for us here close to the mountains. Temp was 12 degrees when I went to bed. And now it's Friday and it's warming up a little. Still gray skies, still snow on the grass but most of the snow is gone from the roads and walks. YES!
Looking at what I've accomplished this past week. Weeeeelllllll...I haven't been on track, not far off, but eating 150-200 calories more than what I wanted to consume.
All of these items were part of my diet this past week and those calorie-dense (or just plain empty calories - hello, Coke Zero) were there.
My exercise was also a little off. My walking which is the foundation of all I do was impacted by yesterday's cold weather. And also took a hit the day I had to go into the office (never do that anymore) to train some of the newbies on Wednesday. To top THAT off, I was too aggressive with my strength work and had to pay the price by slacking off big time to recover. Rookie mistake but one I won't do again. I'll be queen of "easing into it" going forward.
Anyway, I was detouring a little this week but the weekends coming and my goal is to a) track each day, b) use strategy to compensate if I'm going over or under in some way, and c) to have fun. Life continues......
