Medifast Day 135 -- Week in Review

emoticon It's raining today. Tomorrow morning is my first weigh in for the transition phase. Gotta be honest here. This hasn't been the greatest week but I did the best I could.

emoticon Saturday: ate Mexican food for dinner (chips/salsa, 3 veggie fajitas, large margarita)
emoticon Sunday: injury kicked in and I was hung over/hurt the whole day
emoticon Monday: birthday lunch for coworker; ate a salad with dressing
emoticon Tuesday: emotionally bad day; bottle of wine; burger and onion rings dinner
emoticon Wednesday: thought about my life as a whole and failing
emoticon Thursday: Catching Fire premiere; avoided popcorn for 6 hours

And here we are. I didn't exercise the entire week except for 20 min on Saturday. Not even walking because I was hurt. Today started off with a two hour training then traveling for a meeting. Lot of paperwork to get done before the end of the day. Everyone is taking off for Thanksgiving so it's hard to coordinate. At least next week is only 3 days.

emoticon My Thanksgiving plans so far is lunch with my mom/dad/brother. No dinner. Unfortunately, the mother in law isn't cooking. It's kinda depressing because I was looking forward to it.

emoticon My calf is almost nearly pain free. Still hurts if I flex it. Monday I will continue with my failed C25K program. I was on week 4 day 3 when I got sick and hadn't picked it up again. So the plan is C25K 3 days a week and light strength training full body 3 days a week. Once the new year hits, I begin more intense exercises to get stronger.

    Good luck with your weigh-in tomorrow. I have been terrible about keeping track of my foods, and I know I've been eating too much stuff, so I avoided the scale this week. Plus, I only went to the gym once. Glad to hear your calf is getting better now & you can get back to your workouts. I'm sure you'll get a rhythm going again soon emoticon

    Sorry your week was rotten...hopefully next week will look better.

FYI don't be surprised if you can't make your c25k week. I know that even if I took a week or two off, I was pushed back.

    Great job avoiding the movie popcorn! So sorry about the injury. It's hard to resit working out, but rest is important (from a girl who learned the hard way)

    The great thing is you have plans to keep moving forward.


I too have not had the best of record keeping and eating on plan as of late. I told myself this morning I had to get on the scale be it good or bad. If it is bad, then it should motivate me to make better choices and not just be an excuse to keep on not following my diet. Weight always fluctuates. I should not beat myself up over it. There WILL be days it goes in the up direction. Fact of life.

I seriously worked out harder before starting medifast. I was going up to 15 percent incline on my treadmill. I was trying to outrun my bad diet. My treadmill has not seen much use even without incline. I only use it to catch up if I did not do 10,000 steps during the day. And in the back of my head I know I need to start weight training. I need to get this all mapped out and make it happen. Sad I was in better physical shape 38 pounds ago.

Add relationship issues to the mix. I found myself heading to the fridge. I had to ask myself last night "Am I hungry?" and the answer was no. Old habits die hard.
