Quit smoking anniversary Ė 9 months!

Friday, November 22, 2013

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I canít believe itís been 9 months since I quit smoking!!! I feel like a totally different person. The fact that Iíve lost most of my weight during this time also amazes me, the old tale is that you gain weight when you quitÖIím living proof that it does not have to be that way!

emoticon emoticon emoticon
Iím still struggling with my weight plateau, but my body is adjusting off the statins and is fighting me every step of the way! However, my sugar is still coming down. I have had to once again lower my basal insulin that I take each night!

Thatís all for this short updateÖ.

I hope each and every one of you reading this has an amazing day!!!

Congrats on your 9 months cigarette free. I also am a former smoker (50 yrs worth)
and I also did not gain weight when I quit. It is a great feeling now to not be reliant on them. The plateaus do have a positive side if you can look at it, although you may not be losing, you also are not gaining weight, you are just on hold for a bit.

emoticon you're still kicking the behind of those cigarettes, and that's just AMAZING!!! As far as your plateau, you're not struggling, you're just maintaining, for a bit. God's getting your body ready for the next season, which is going to be even greater than the season you're in now!!!

Be blessed,

Good for you. I'm so happy for you. After I quit I used to wonder "What did I do before I started smoking? How did I fill those empty moments." Now I wonder why I ever thought that. You should have a much better winter cough-wise. CONGRATS

I quit 3-1/2 years ago, and had a slip up 2 years ago. Although you will get cravings, they don't last long. Think of something else, and they'll go away!
