~~~~!!!!!Positive Thoughts !!!!~~~~
Friday, November 22, 2013
Today is a better day!! I am starting to feel happier and not so down on myself. I know that I have let myself down because I had not accomplished any goals I have set for myself. However, I now have a better way of seeing things. I CAN successfully accomplish my goals I just have to set smaller goals that are actually reasonable.
You're absolutely right, people will always have their opinions of us no matter what we do in life. You're right it is up to us what we take from what people say and how we let what people say affect our lives. I have been known to tell so many people I am going to lose weight this time over and over again and never get to far with it, and then every time they are like well we will see I don't believe it until I see it. So as of now I am not telling anyone other than a few close family and friends and then my spark friends. You're right the best thing we can do and for good is to not give up even if we have a bad day, bad week, or bad month..and absolutely get back on track asap. Yep we all can do it we just have to believe in ourselves and actually take steps in the right direction. You're right we do having to make eating healthy a habit and just keep on keeping on no matter what!! We will do it for sure!
I absolutely will be keeping those thoughts in mind!!! You're right I do need to lose the weight for myself! :) You're right people just judge others and are critical of others when they are unhappy with themselves and feel the need to put others down just to bring themselves up. Yeah I hear folks saying bad thoughts like that of me very often even at home..and have always heard those bad thoughts since I was a young child. I am working really hard at not letting what others say about me get me down because I know they are just not confidant in themselves or maybe have a weird way of showing they care.. Thanks for your words of encouragement, you are right I am trying to change and really it serves no good purpose to compare myself to anyone, and I really should feel wonderful about that..
Drinking water is very hard for me to do, especially drinking it like I should. So I do see it as a positive step in the right direction even though it is a very small step. Thanks so much for your words of encouragement! I have committed to doing my best, and not settling for anything less, so that someday I will for sure reach my goal!! :D
    I sent you an email too Amanda. I think no matter what we do in life people will always have "their opinion". Whether that is good or bad, but it is up to us what we take from what people say that they think we should do. I don't tell people I am working on my health or dieting or anything along those lines. On spark people I do, but in the real world, I don't. I used to find once I'd told someone it seems to go haywire.
I think one of the biggest things we can do to lose it this time(and for good) is to not give up. To not let a bad day or a bad week let us give up. To get back on track asap. The truth is-we can do it-all of us.But we have to persevere, be persistant, determind to do it-no matter what. And to change our not as good habits to better ones. Turn good eating into a habit. And we all like different foods and like different activities. So we fit our lifestyle to suit our tastes etc. And we will do it Amanda, we will do it emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon And definately it is a step by step thing. Each step we take will lead us to the next corner,and even when a hurdle arrives or gets in our way we will overcome it. emoticon emoticon
    No prob! Just keep those thoughts in mind! You need to lose the weight for YOURSELF. You're IS hard to ignore the thoughts and opinions of others... but most of the time it's because they don't think well of themselves and UNFORTUNATELY (and subconciously) will judge others and be critical of others to lift themselves up! Example: "At least I'm not as big as her..." or "I should be happy where I'm at because I'm doing more exercise than her". See...those are BAD THOUGHTS that could bring you down if they are said to you, but keep in mind that those people are not confidant in don't let it bring you down. You are trying to change...and don't need to compare yourself... you should feel wonderful about that!
Drinking water is a very positive step! If that's hard for you... that's great! Little steps will give you the positive feelings of acheivement to keep making new goals and feeling that way again! Just do your best...and you'll get there eventually!
Thank you so much for your comment, and caring that I feel better! I will be trying to set one goal at a time, until I know that I can handle more goals at the same time without becoming overwhelmed!
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement!! You're so right I do have to take small baby steps and set goals that are attainable..I just sometimes get so knocked down by others opinions of the goals I set and the goals I set not being good enough to them but its about ME not them.
Yep everyone does have to get from one place to another, and it cant be done overnight.. Wow 60 pounds??? That's a good amount. I am sorry to hear that you have gained 45 of those back, but glad you know what to do to get back on track, and you're right what everyone else can do might not be what I can and I really have to stop comparing myself to others. I will surely have to keep that thought in mind, cause if not I will go back on the poor me track. I have noticed that by reading others' stories I get a great amount of motivation!! I will have to make that a habit!! To just keep finding ways to stay motivated!
My first baby step is to start drinking more water. I drink pretty much no water at all right now. Thank you for reaching out to me, you are such a great encouragement to me!
    So happy to hear yu are feeling better. May I suggest hat you just start out with one goal? Sometimes we overload ourselves and end up not doing anything. That was me, until I made it simple--one goal at a time. emoticon
    EXACTLY!!! That's the spirit!
Just having those thoughts are the right step into the direction you need to go!
And by baby gotta make a very attainable goal for yourself. If it's just working out for five minutes each day as a might seem petty to others and what they can do...but it's not about's about YOU. :-)
Everyone has had to get from one place to another... over 8 years ago, I lost SIXTY pounds! I've gained 45 of those back...and I'm working on it again. What I am able to do is different...and it won't be healthy to compare yourself to others. So make sure you keep that in mind because I have to remind myself of that. However, getting motivation from others' stories.... that's the best way to do it!
What's your first baby step? I hope we can encourage you along the way!
