Day 21 of Thankfulness

Thursday, November 21, 2013

I am thankful for books. I love to read! From the Bible to Gone With The Wind, love stories, historical, fact, fiction or murder mysteries, I love to read. I can live an adventure or travel to exotic places all from the comfort of my home. A friend who visited this summer was delighted with my books. She said she could find something to read at my house no matter her mood.

I have done well the past couple of days with my food choices. When I step on the scale tomorrow I will see how well I have done for the week.

I can't walk into a bookstore without buying one, but many are for my children. Love reading. I hope your week was good!

hope the scale shows what you want, but if not that's okay because you know you are doing what you are supposed to. I'm trying real hard to stay w/in range now and will do my utmost to do so next week too. I didn't do enough steps Wednesday, so I hope painting today will help.

BOOKS were my passion. When we came to US the elementary schools had no library so I started one and ran it as a volunteer for 13 years. During tat time I was often at the state house asking that the elementary schools should have libraries. That was 1972 and my Name is in the 1972 edition of Who's Who amongst American women. I was still not naturalised but I was entered by a newspaper and it went from there. DH bought the book he was so proud of my achievement.

Books are the best gift kids can have, alas too many have computers and T.V. instead. PAT in Maine.
