I'm amazed at my wonderful support system. I have the greatest family & friends.
Mikhail is the best kid. He's my son, but he's also my best friend. He's smart, funny and very insightful. Last night I got up at 12:30 & a few minutes later he came out of his room & asked if I was okay & if he could sit with me for a few minutes. Our conversation got around to my blogs. (yes, he likes to read them) I asked if he thought I could blog for profit. Without hesitation, he said, 'Yes, Mom! You are very funny especially when to tell it like it is.'
How great is it that I have the faith of my 12 y/o son??? He really believes in me. He actually likes me. Not just the love a son has for his mom, but he LIKES me! When he said Yes Mom, I believe too!
I was really sick yesterday. On top of everything else my Collegenous Colitis was raging yesterday. Think of IBS on steroids! I can't even drink water when it's as bad as it was yesterday.
The phone system at the GI Specialist's office says to call the pharmacy & it will take 24-72 hours to get a refill. I've NEVER had to do that. I called my Dr's nurse directly & explained what was going on. At 4:25 my pharmacy still hadn't heard back on it so I called Linda again. She said, 'Oh, you are out of the med completely? I didn't realize that when you called. Give me a few minutes & I'll call you back.' She called back less than 10 minutes later to tell me she'd phoned it into the pharmacy. By 4:45 The pharmacy called me to tell me they had it & it would be filled in a few minutes so I could come to get it.
From family & friends I know for a fact that most people don't get this kind of service from Dr's OR pharmacies. I live in a large city so they just don't have time to be so personal with everyone. I don't think I'm more important than other people, but I AM more memorable! HA!
The last time I saw the Specialist, Linda was having a hard day. After I got done with my appointment I took Linda back into the office so she could talk about what was going on and then I told her some silly ways to resolve it!
The ONLY two things I did all day yesterday were make the bed & the dishes. I asked Lenny if he was mad at me. He said, 'Haven't you figured out yet that I never get mad at you? If you don't feel good I don't want or expect you to do anything.' Of course, this isn't the first time he said these things to me, but it sure makes me happy to hear them.
I am very blessed to know such great people.
