Bargain hunting and confession.

Yum, cinnamon chips in the muffins sounded good.... the quiche was good, would make it again myself....

I went to my H&S Walk this am and only 1 person showed up. It was the guy who came last week to sign up. Anyway, we did one 1.3 km lap at the dame where I walk and it was COLD,,,, he left then, it was TOO COLD... there were white caps on the man-made lake!!!! I hung in there, I had my hat, scarf, ski pants, tshirt, long sleeve top and a jacket, and double gloves on... so I did the 5Km, but poor Buddy was home....I think it would have been too cold for him anyway.

Then I called my friend and she said she'd show me where they go to a church clothing give-away every Weds. from 1-2pm. There was quite the line-up waiting to get in the door. you know it is appreciated.. I couldn't believe, how well organized it was, laid out in big table-like bins the way Frenchies used to do it... And everyone was there for something different.... I got a pair of brown curtains that will work for my big front room window... and a nice warm red fleece top and a sleeveless fleece vest and a beautiful blue blazer and a cotton eyelet tank top, and a pair of black cords, and a nice lime green sweater, and a brown (new) shawl type top, that I gave my MIL.... all for FREE.... Now I know where I will give my stuff... and that wasn't all either... I got a pair of cords and jeans and fleece top and t-shirt for my great great nephew and couple prs. of jeans for my great nieces... If it doesn't fit, no big deal..give it back or pass it on.

Even went to Superstore in between, , got some turkey tenders, chicken and ground pork, so will need to have a cooking day tomorrow....I could only get a raincheck for the 99 cents per lb pork roast.....

Then took dh and MIL into town. We went to MacDonalds for a McRib, better than a hamburger, but just seemed like something was missing... We went to Target, think it was my first and last time... not a big deal, and hardly any good prices. I did check my bill and where I thought I was paying $3.99 for toilet tissue, the bill said $6.99. I had to go to Customer Service. She asked why and what and said she would have to refund the amount. Then she asked me "if it was $3.99 would you buy it?" I said Yes, so she rang it in at that price and took $1 off too.... Interesting... I wanted to do the online survey to give them my comments, but their slip didn't have one....

And we had a bonus when we bought our wood pellets at Walmart, the notice on the machine came up, "Would you like to use your reward points?" So, that was our free $15 for taking their credit card.... Cant' beat that...

So, in the re-telling, I realized what a great bargain hunting day I had..

But, what I am not saying is how bad my eating is lately.... I am so far off track, I must confess, I am also up 10 lbs... That same 10 lbs. it took me from July to Oct to get off, is back!!!!! didn't take long did it? But then I noticed I picked up a small bag of chocolate covered almonds and after I ate them, I turned the bag around to discover there were over 500 cal in just that.... aiyyyyyyyyy!!!

Gotta get back on track, I have worked too hard to get this far and lose (I wish!!) - I mean gain it all back.

    Great day shopping!

BUT...

WTH have ya been thinking when it comes to food choices?!!!! Good grief, you nearly sound like me! And look what ya gained from BAD CHOICES ... gained back the pounds you worked so hard to lose! 4 months of work for seconds, if not less, for food to entice your taste-buds and then to send it and you into the oblivion of spark hell. Rise up, you naughty child, and get your butt back on track! I am going to check up on you in one week and while I don't expect to hear about some massive weight loss, I do expect to hear about a complete turn around. Your body did not deserve the despicable things you did and if I were there right now I would pelt you with hard almonds, 100 pounds of hard chocolate covered almonds, as you RAN for your life a whole marathon in the freezing cold! I have no pity for you and you best straighten up your act or else!

Damn! They don't even have a "You Suck!" emoticon. Oh well ... emoticon

We all have a few steps back...I just did and am trying like crazy to get forward again. I just don't get why it's some much harder to go forward again. We did it once!

Hooray on the great bargain day! I love having days like that.

Sounds like you had a great day - lbs wise - I know the feeling - getting back on track is tricky isn't it! I'm finding all the bad habits I had got rid of are creeping back in - maybe that means I didn't actually get rid of them!
