The frog in water.

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

It is said that if you put a frog in cold water and gradually heat the water, the frog will stay in the container and boil to death. If you put a frog into hot water, it will immediately jump straight out. The reason given is that the frog can't detect the slow change in the temperature. (I've never tested this)

If you take a few minutes right now to look at some aspects of your life, relationships, health, finances, are there situations that have taken you over so slowly, that you haven't noticed the process? If you had no personal history and had the shock of suddenly arriving into the life you now lead, what are the situations that you would welcome, and what are the ones that you would jump away from?

Good question... I know my weight is definitely the slowly heated water. I'll have to ponder what would have made me leap away. emoticon
