I Threw Away M & M's

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

I found a little package of m&m's left over from Halloween. Instantly tossed it without wanting it. Woohoo for me!

I've written a couple of blogs about my pumpkin pie plan and not eating the entire pie on Thanksgiving. Then I remembered that I haven't eaten sweets in months and don't even want it. The desire for the pumpkin pie, like all of my eating habits, are ingrained from a lifetime pattern. I started changing the habits 6 years ago, but it's going to take the rest of my life to replace them with new behaviors that are newly-ingrained. That's why it's not a diet, but truly a lifestyle change.

Have a happy day, spark friends.

Nice job on the M&M's - I know what your saying I have lost he desire to indulge in bad behavior. I do like pumpkin pancakes and waffles to obtain the benefits of the pumpkin other that that I do not have a desire for sweets anymore. Hugs K

Good for you! Thank you for reminding me that this a lifetime change. It took us years to develop bad habits and it's going to take years to make new ones.

Go you! Isn't it amazing that the things we thought we couldn't do without become so much less important over time! Give yourself a pat on the back for every M&M in that bag!
