So I tried to start November with clean eating. A friend on Facebook started a challenge. I made it about 3 days before I caved to a bottle of wine, and then day 4 was beer. I love beer. One of the best things about living in Germany is beer.
I am searching for new recipes, or better to say clean recipes. I do eat fairly healthy most of the time, I just have a portion control problem, especially with pasta and potatoes. So I did good a couple of days then...opps. A whole week was bad. Sad thing was, I noticed I might dropped a kg, but yea its back. I was not exercising at the time as I do a lot of walking to get to work. About 2-3kms a day. Now I got a car, and well...no more walking to the bus, train and to work and back. :( It is amazing how quickly I gained weight. Thankfully my jeans still fit, but some shirts are looking bad on my due to my belly. :(
So today I thought I would experiment. Coconut flour pancakes, a nice gluten free recipe, experimenting....I made a fresh blueberry sauce to go with it and for my little one chocolat chips. The egg flavor is ok, but it was just a bit too grainy for me. It wasn't so bad, but being dry and grainy...well I only ate half. I guess I will look into whole wheat pancakes as my daughter didn't seem to care for them either.
I plan on sticking to the clean eating and exercising. This is not just a new year kind of thing. I won't give up.
