20. What simple step can you take to make yourself happier today?
There are any number of simple steps I take on a daily basis which keep me happy. Walking my dog, eating good food, getting plenty of sleep, reading a good book. All of these combine to keep me feeling happy. I live a pretty simple, low stress life, so as long as I just keep moving forward I am happy. I don't have huge expectations. I am just content with myself and my life. Not a bad place to be.
We had our regular Tuesday morning walking group this morning. We were missing one kid, so we were 9 people and 2 dogs. The dogs were unruly today, barking at each other and trying to play almost the whole time. It was a little frustrating. I walked Cooper 4 times today, for over 7 miles total mileage for the day. It is was cold, with the occasional snowflake falling, so I thought I would be nice to him and keep our walks a little shorter. But boy was he ready to walk this evening!
I am having lunch with my friend, Peter, tomorrow. He wants to go to Applebee's. I should be able to find something okay on their menu. I haven't been there in quite a while, so it will be a change from my usual.
