My MIL gave her MNF tickets to my husband for his birthday. At the time the Panthers were like 1-3 so it was not exactly the most anticipated thing in our lives.
oh ye of little faith
The Panthers went on a hot streak and as the game approached, it got more and more interesting.
I came home from work early. Ah alas my work building is next to the stadium so we all have to leave early whenever there is an event. Such a hardship. I got home, no husband. There kept being no husband. I sent him a text. He said he was on his way and that right when he was heading out the door one of his coworkers asked him to come pick up this delivery she was making because her tire was dead flat. He went out to find her and changed her tire. She was going to call roadside assistance, but he figured he would be able to get it changed before they got there.
whatta guy - of course if I had KNOWN he wasn't getting home until 6ish I would have gone for a swim. The flat tire could have been better planned for ME.
We ate some leftovers so as to avoid the stadium food and headed out. We got to the stadium in what should have been plenty of time and ran into the wall of people trying to get through security. I get that safety is important but this is out of control. We ended up getting to our seats a few minutes after the game started. At the time it was pretty warm out but as the night wore on the wind picked up.
Still though, it was such a close game no way we were leaving early. We won woohoo. My voice isn't quite working today. I told my husband's coworker that whenever she has a flat tire the Panthers win. She's cracked the code. I'll be over Sunday with a valve stem remover. HA
At least I'm off today, but my poor husband is at work now. It will probably be a low key evening.
Do I get activity points for climbing all the way up to our seats?
