I had a pretty good weekend, even if it wasn't as Sparky as it could have been. Saturday I got to spend a few hours with Alexis before she went back to her dad's and then I headed out to a local state park with a running friend. There is a very active group of runners in my area, one in particular who likes to plan out relay races for his friends. Saturday was one such event, his third this year. This one, though, was a trail run. The "race" was a 3-man relay, with each person running between 5-6 miles. Since Jenna and I both wanted more than that, we decided to run the whole thing, even though it was a trail run with some killer hills. In the end, we cut the last leg to end up with about 11 miles instead of 13. I was pretty sore after that, especially in my glutes and on my knee where I fell heading up the very last hill. I have a pretty decent bruise under my knee and another on my thigh, but it could have been worse.

After the race, I had to get to a graduation party (after a quick shower and change) and then spent the evening hanging out with friends. Sunday was church and then a rest day with Alexis. We even got a nap in!

Today was my last day in a 5 day stretch of teaching a lovely kindergarten class. We had a lovely dinner and I did my 3 days of bootcamp I had missed. All in all, a good weekend and a decent day.

Goals for tomorrow:
-64+ oz water
-eat well and track food
-30+ minutes kick boxing OR 3-4 mile run + boot camp video (dependent on work schedule)
-set daily goals and Spark
-in bed by 10
