Carbo loading for the race

Oh wait....I am not running a race. If I was running a race, I definitely would be all set with preparing for it with the carbo loading part. But...I am not. I am just eating a lot of carbs lately. Yesterday I did not feel well, so as always, I turned to comfort foods. My main comfort food buddy is mac and cheese. That was pretty much what I ate yesterday....mac and cheese. Today I was still not feeling quite up to par so I laid down at lunchtime and was watching The Chew on TV. What were they making? Variations of stuffing for Thanksgiving. So of course I had to make myself a quick portion of Stovetop stuffing...add hot water and there you go.
Eating right involves making better choices and re-thinking the past. I need to not be triggered by TV cooking shows. (like really?? I see stuffing being made so I have to make some??) If I don't feel well I need to find other comfort foods because my go to comfort foods are what got me into this to begin with. Did I feel better after eating that bowl of stuffing? Ah...no.
The mind is a powerful thing. I just need to re-train mine....
