Well what a weekend it was. Luckily we didn’t really have any damage from the storms that rocked my little corner of the Midwest. We didn’t even lose power. Just had an incredible amount of rain all at once and some very strong winds. No damage done to us though thank goodness. And then today it is so nice out and bright and sunny. Crazy weather.
Over all it was a good weekend. I did well on the fitness front, not so well on the nutrition front. So it was a typical weekend. My workout rotation has me doing a session of HIIT tonight. So I am sure I will be toast later on tonight. This will be my 4th one of these workouts in the last 2 weeks. I am trying to do them every 4th workout and after a day off to make sure the body is up to it. Supposedly it really amps up the metabolism for a few hours after the workout, although I am after more of the cardio benefit it gives so I can push up hills next year on the bike easier.
So, all in all I mainly just need to get back my self control on eating. I am too willing to say, oh I haven’t had that in a long time, it won’t hurt. It’s not so much it won’t hurt, but it is the once I start I eat way too much. But the fitness is going well.
