Day 717- Beating the Weekend

As you probably know, I went home this weekend. Being at 176.4, I was extremely nervous. I'm 99 pounds down, and so close to 100 pounds down as well as close to my 2 year anniversary with SparkPeople (December 3rd). But going home usually means visiting with friends, eating out at restaurants and little to no time spent exercising which can usually mean a 1-2 pound gain when I get back to Athens on Monday.

Well when I weighed in this morning... *gasp* 176.4. I MAINTAINED. This is literally unheard of. I still ate out with friends. We tried a new pizza place, but I had a salad, a ton of water and limited myself to two slices. Then on Saturday, I had cereal for breakfast and Special K bar for lunch, and was busy wedding dress shopping all day. Then didn't eat again until we went to Longhorn. But I got something of their 550 calorie menu. Then Sunday, I had a banana for breakfast and had a Bob Evans Fit Breakfast for 350 calories when we went out for lunch after church.

I almost always use home as an excuse to overeat, but this new goal of 100 pounds down really kept me focused while home, and I'm so glad that I don't have new weight to lose but just have the same 1.4 pounds to focus on losing this week. I think I should be able to do it, without much of a problem.

This weekend is my dad's birthday so I'm probably going home again to celebrate that, but will try to limit myself again. Hopefully I will have already reached my goal by then.

Thank you for all your kind words on my wedding dress blog. It was so nice to feel so beautiful and not be focused on my flaws.
