Progress.... Well kind of.

Sunday, November 17, 2013

I normally like to take progress pictures, however; I haven't done one since April 3rd. It was day 93 of the year, now here we are at day 321. Not a whole lot has changed. I'm staying pretty steady at the high end of my goal range, but I am feeling healthy and happy so maybe the high end is just my goal.

As you can see, pretty much no change, but I am in maintenance so no change is kind of the goal, right?

Sometimes it's hard to continue to eat well, or mildly well, and to exercise when things aren't "changing". There are really no goals left for me, I mean I have a few but they don't feel the same as losing weight did.

When I am having a hard time sticking to it, I look back at old pictures. This is why these progress pictures are so important . It does wonders for the mind and soul to SEE what hard work does. It pretty much always pushes me to the gym.

You're a SUPER STAR and you look fantastic! I don't have many "before" pics, but I keep them around for that same reason. It's so hard to stay motivated... until I see those pics! You're an inspiration!

I see some changes in your photos. As for maintenance, you should/need to set goals for yourself. They may not be "huge" like losing X amount of weight, but small goals still help. Joining challenges is also a good way to "help" during maintaining.

I find goals such as exercising 5 days a week, staying within my calorie range everyday or exercising 45 minutes a day does help. You've come a long way, but the journey never really ends. It's lifelong changes that help us maintain lifelong health!

Hang in there!
