Changing attitude, perspective makes it easier for me to commit to new ways of doing things. Sometimes committing to just trying something new for a few days opens my eyes and changes my beliefs.
Doing the pool, walking the mile, doing classical stretch. All this makes me feel good. I'll continue to explore new venues for exercise, who knows what I may find that I like.

Food and Eating
Trying out a vegan diet helped show me healthier ways of cooking, altered my tastebuds and opened me up to new foods and recipes. "Try it, you may like it" became my motto. While I did not like everything, there have been some tasty tidbits. I'm still trying to find my balance, but overall there have been payoffs. My skin is smooth and soft, I've been slowly losing weight, my A1c is falling, and my cholesterol numbers are good.

I think committing to doing the 21 days of meditation challenge has helped lower cortisol, the stress hormone within my body. My blood pressure was 112/68. Less stressing means less stress eating.

It has not been a perfect journey, I have messed up, had pity parties. There were ill side effects from straying that made me recommit.

Committing to a healthy lifestyle/routine is making my life better. It would be nice If I could just snap my fingers and have the weight gone... but what I have been doing is slowly turning things around to where I want to be and I will continue this path and honor my commitment toward better health.

It's all in our attitude as if we keep on doing what we've been doing, we'll get the same results. It'll become a habit forming transformation! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Awesome! Are you using Deepak Chopra's 21 Day Meditation Challenge?? I'm doing that too. ON day #7 and it's awesome. This is my 2nd go-round and loving it.

HUGS and good luck.

Yes, I have seen that commitment is what does the trick. Even when I lapsed this year, I was committed to continue lots of exercise and eating healthy (just too much of it).
