Go for that DREAM!

Sunday, November 17, 2013

I was so tired out by the time I finished my exercise video I was nearly ready to quiet 3/4 of the way through, but I finished it. I have never gotten that tired, I mean I was actually sweating..but then again I did have a sweatshirt on...*LOL*

We're supposed to go watch the Packers play at the bar (no, they're not playing at the bar :D, though if they were, I'd never return home..I could sit and stare at Clay and Aaron forever) with our daughter and her boyfriend today, so that should be fun.

Friday my husband and the kids are going up deer hunting and I'll be dog-sitting for the weekend. I was hoping there'd be a new movie on, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Oh well, maybe I'll just rent a movie and watch it.

I hope you all have a wonderful week planned for you, I have an interview with the local newspaper for the planned rebuilding of the main structure of the accessible/integrated playground which I'm the co-founder/President of (CAMDEN Playground). We found out last week that it's going to cost over $100,000. to repair the playground, which is a model for accessible/integrated playgrounds since it was built in 1993. The City Council has set aside $70,000. as long as we raise $30,000. by 2015. So this is going to take a lot of fundraising, not to mention we'll have to do another community build in which we'll need a LOT of volunteers.

Plus we'll need some heavy machinery with the ability to reach across to the center of the playground in order to pull out some very heavy poles which will need to be replaced. There will be a LOT of desconstruction of the main structure which will take a while and mean the playground will have to be closed, but once the work is done, the playground will be ready for another 20 years. But I trust God will be beside us all the way, and it will get done..afterall..look what happened 20 years ago..we raised over $300,000.00, had over 3,000 volunteers, and ended up with a playground worth over $600,000.00 with donations. We did it, starting with only family members and friends and people who cared about children with special needs..and we can do it again.

So anyway, back to work once more..I hope you have a wonderful day and as I've always said...if you have a dream, don't let ANYTHING stop you from reaching it! emoticon

It amazes me what people can do when they are in agreement and pull together. That is a good deal and with everyone's help it will get done and help build community relationships. That is wonderful.
