Thanks to all the kind replies on my last blog! This place is amazing!
I'm actually 5 days late posting this. I saw it coming, but I had a couple of term papers due and then the outpatient procedure for the toddler and I'm getting back on my feet now.
My weight is stable in the high side of my maintenance range. I've kept up my strength circuits by my cardio is woefully lacking. We did this discussion on cardio for my nutrition class and I was dazzled by how many calories people burn kickboxing that kind of turned me off walking for a while. The thing is, I haven't been doing the kickboxing either. So I need to get back to doing something.
On the other hand, I did the fruit and veggie challenge and I can't be sure it was the cause, but I sure seemed to sleep good on a tummy full of freggies.
I should make a meme of Lloyd Bridges saying "I picked the wrong week to start tracking my food". My husband actually tried recording his food the other day, but it was the day after Veteran's day (free meals at many chain restaurants) so he appeared to be way low. And he forgot the baby donuts until the next day. But I think he might be starting to pay more attention to things like how much butter her cooks his eggs in.
I think my feeling about maintenance now is a lot like my feeling about Chemistry class. I was so scared when I started. I got a C in high school chemistry and dropped college chemistry the first time I tried it in 1989. But I've worked really hard at it this time and I'm doing well. I've been through two family members in the hospital and keeping the plates spinning for my other classes and I'm still here, kicking it's class.
