The bachelorette party was fantastic with everyone in attendance having a wonderful time, especially the bride to be! I picked her up at 5:00 before driving to our Elks club where we met up with twelve other ladies, who were there and waiting for our arrival!!! After providing our bride to be with some appropriate "attire" we loaded up in a few vehicles and headed out to our first destination, a winery! The winery is about forty minutes away, down a twisting turning rocky road, but our carload had so much fun reminiscing and laughing the drive seemed to be over in five minutes! Once at the winery, we were directed to a private party room, which boasted a beautiful view of a winding creek; this winery is located within an old Victorian style home which has been restored! Beautiful! While we waited for meals to arrive the bride to be opened her"gifts"... ending with one created by another friend and I, that we labeled, "A Cougar's Play Kit" as she's a few years older than her soon to be hubby... let's just say our "kit" was the hit of the party, down to the "poem" I managed to put together!!! We had fun visiting and enjoying the live music at the winery both before, during, and after our meal... but it was soon time for all to load up and head to our next destination.... A local club... where we've experienced more than a few good times through the years... Here we shared our last "gift" with our bride.... a set of twelve "We Dare You" cards with tasks she had to complete... for each task she successfully completed she was rewarded with $$ placed in a very pretty little money purse, if she opted not to complete the task... we reluctantly would take $$ out of the same bag... fortunately she was a good sport and completed every card.... talk about fun and laughter, oh my goodness... After the club, we once again loaded up and headed out, this time we went to the home of one of the other hostesses, as her husband was hosting the bachelor party and we were invited to join them for some additional fun and games!!! All in all, the evening was a huge success!!! The wedding of this couple is scheduled for New Years Eve... as they always want a reason to have a celebration! The celebration for me will be seeing her so happy... as we've been friends for years and have shared many ups and downs, just as friends do... the one consistent for us is that we accept and love each other just as we are flaws and all... Isn't that what friendship and life is all about?
