Happiness is doing it all the time.

Saturday, November 16, 2013

We were going to the grocery store this evening. I often go ahead and play part of a movie on the DVD player we bought so the girls could watch stuff on *long* road trips. Turns out, big surprise, Big Sister requests a movie even if we're not going to be in the car long enough to make it through the previews.

But, tonight, I needed to charge my phone. My wall charger no longer works, so I really needed to do this in the car on the way to the store. The drive is sufficient that my battery loads up pretty well on this trip. So, I had my phone plugged into the not-officially-a-cigarette-lig
hter-plug-in-thing instead of the DVD player, and to appease the masses (masses of two, I know) I put on one of the kids CDs I keep in the car.

So, we're playing along with one of those songs that requires physical participation. Big Sister pauses during part of it to tell me, "Mommy, I do this all the time! In dance class."

Which is awesome. Not something I've noticed, because I can typically hear the music, but maybe she's talking more about the moves... I'm just fairly certain that I've never heard, through the doors at the dance studio, "If you're happy and you know it..."

I think it's awesome that you've been so intentional about making sure your girls are active and avoiding "girls just sit and play tea-party"!
