Hey everyone. So, it has been a long time since I did a post. Today I am sick again, darn colds. I will kick it though. :) I recently did a re-weigh to double check my eyes were not tricking me. I started this journey as most of you know at over 315 pounds. I now weigh 160 pounds and am only ten away from my ideal goal weight! My mother was a heavy woman since I can remember and she went the gastric bipass route! To this day she regrets it outside of not being big anymore. I told her about my journey finally and where I started and where I am now. She cried. She is happy for me that I did it and without any surgeries or other durastic means to get to where I am now. Which kind of made me sad for her when I know she could have done it the way I did, BUT, thinking back should couldnt because she didnt have the confidence or support where it counted most. She reached over 500 pounds, she tried ALL the diet pills and diet meals that go to your door...slim fast, jenny, and all of them! Nothing worked, I believe because she didnt have the team behind her that she needed. I didnt have the team one would dream of but I did it because I wanted to be fit and healthy and wasnt giong to let anyone tell me different. I am not the most confident individual either but I promised a long time ago when I was a kid that I would never end up like my mother. I made that promise as a kid when I was only five years old and I intend to keep my promise to the best of my ability! The weight that I had on came after having each of my kiddos and they are worth losing it for too. My Six year old and three year old jump in and do my exercises with me and they love to help prep our healthy meals. We actually dont even eat out in our household. We dont eat candy or do the sweets thing either. We make our own snacks and have started over the last six months to grow our own veggies and some fruits too! My son was super happy this Halloween too because he grew all of our pumpkins that we had this year and his class got to come over on a little trip to our house to pick a FREE pumpkin each! He also entered his biggest pumpkin to the local fair and got first place, he had a 89 pound pumpkin. I got my work out that day taking it in to be weighed and photographed. I am a proud mommy and I am sorry that I kind of rambled this one out but I had a strange thought pattern while getting this post in today! Thankyou to all of my friends and followers and team members here on Spark that support me and help keep me on the road to my goal!
