Insanity--doing the same thing over and over & expecting different results

I'm lifting weight three times per week (in addition to cardio six times a week.) Since I am trying to get stronger while I burn fat, it is very important to me to meet my calorie goals.

This blog post is the first time I've examined what I do on weekends with food. Normally I end up undereating and underdrinking, and at 6:00 P.M. each day, I'm wondering, "How did this happen again?"

I just figured out the solution. I just spent about 7 minutes typing out a long, boring, wordy blog about my food struggles on the weekend. I've just deleted it and will now post the solutions (drum roll):

1. Get up at the same time every day--including weekends. Otherwise I miss my morning meal and snack.

2. Plan meals for Saturday and Sunday the night before JUST LIKE I DO THE REST OF THE WEEK. "Winging it" isn't working for me.

These two little items are actually a couple of HUGE commitments for me. It's going to take a good amount of effort to institute them. I am now officially whining. I'm a little wiped out right now . . . two and a half hours until bed time . . . I can't wait . . .

    Sound like a good plan. I do the same things as far as not eating enough during the day. I have no appetite until about 7:30 and then I eat a reasonable meal and snack until bed time. Got to quit that. I have reached my goal weight but it won't last if I keep this up. Good luck and best wishes with the great plan! emoticon emoticon emoticon
