Gall bladder problem or what?

Saturday, November 16, 2013

I am in pain now for most of 3 days. I can get rid of it by burping and , well, passing gas--mostly burping.

The pain is mostly in my back--right side. It can extend across my lower to mid-back. Not low back. Not high on my back.

I woke up today and thought I was cured. It was just a little tender. But I had a cup of decaf and ate an apple. That did it!

Any suggestions?

I used these meds at various times over the last 3 days. I did not use the meds together:

charcoal capsules, gas=X in gel capsules, probiotic which I take anyway.

I did not use acid reducing pills like Prilosec.

In a similar boat. The pain for me is getting worse. I'm trying to avoid going to the ER on Thanksgiving, but I'm thinking that my gall bladder is on its way out. Be sure to get yourself checked out. I would hate for you to have any complications from waiting. Please be safe and take care of yourself over the holidays. Be sure to drop me a line and see if we'll be the gal bladder twinsies.

Before I had my gall-bladder removed. I had pain in my right side, sometimes back, sometimes front, sometimes both and I burped almost constantly. There was a tenderness too. I would suggest that you go to the doctor just to make sure. I waited a month before I went, thinking it would go away, then had to wait another month before I could have the surgery. Hope you feel better soon!

ok my mom had this problem with Gall bladder and let it go waaaay tooo looong. She would have incredible pain that could last 10 minute to several hours in the end after seeing the doc she was going to have surgery but was going to put it off until after the holidays and well if I remember she didn't make it before Christmas.

She ended up having 3 surgeries one being the Gall bladder surgeries and the other two (were emergency surgeries) were the gall stones went in the wrong place. And those two surgeries were waaaay worst than the Gall bladder surgery.

Now she waited maybe year or so and at the end it just got worst.

So I would defiantly see a doctor soon.

See your doctor. It could be GERD or gall bladder or hiatal hernia

Sounds like my pain when I had gall bladder problems. I agree with others who say to see your doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

I would go to ER or urgent care, there's no way to tell if it's gallbladder without a doctor looking into it; so many other conditions have similar symptoms. I have had friends and family members with gallbladder problems, and no one person had exactly the same symptoms.

Definitely go see a dr or urgent care. I ended up in the ER with my gallbladder. Once out it is so much better so if that is it, it isn't the major surgery it once was. Mine is a huge scar but today they do it laproscopilily (sp)!

PS Diagnosis is painless

Sounds like gallbladder to me, having been there done that ! Have you seen a medical doctor? You need a very bland diet, rice, water packed tuna, fat free foods, no sauces or spicy flavorings. I had mine out 30 years ago and never regretted it a day. If you wait too long it can cause jaundice and liver problems. Take care of yourself ! emoticon emoticon

If this has been going on for three days I would definitely go to the doctors or an urgent care facility. Better to be safe than sorry and have it turned into something serious!

emoticon I agree with FITRAWTURTLE. Especially since the pain seems to be triggered by eating. I know going to the Dr or E.R. is a Pain In The Rear, but there are DIRE Consequences if you are ignoring a serious issue like a Gall Bladder or Pancreas Issue.

See your doctor. It would be irresponsible for anyone here on a weight loss/fitness site to give you their opinions.

I do hope you feel better soon. But, please go see a doctor.
