Sounds simple, and it is. The trick is doing it EVERY MOMENT and in EVERY SITUATION.
It's not about the diet. The diet is a tool. It's not about the exercise. It's all consequence of acceptance.
When you accept yourself you begin to appreciate yourself, and it leads to love. And it's corny and we all know it, but still, we don't love ourselves enough. It has to reach the point of adoration. Healthy adoration (it's the one that does not endanger another), but still adoration without compromise.
When you love yourself, you will choose the best, healthiest foods to feed your body and you will not need willpower. The love takes care of that. You deserve to eat the best, tastiest, natural foods.
When you love yourself, you will want to experience beautiful scenery, and you will lace up your sneakers and go for a run. Or perhaps you will put on your sexy shoes and go out downtown. You will want to show yourself to the world, and you will want to move your beautiful body (because every body is beautiful, and when you accept and love yourself, your eyes open to your own beauty).
You will not need a mile tracker as a motivator to exercise.
When you love yourself, you will put yourself above the things and situations that steal your sleep. Because loving leads to respect, and when you respect yourself, you will provide the body with its rest.
When you accept and love yourself, you will make time in your day to spend time with yourself. Perhaps with a book, perhaps on a yoga mat, or gazing out of the window, but you will make time and you will enjoy it in SILENCE.
When you accept and love yourself, it will not be difficult and you will not need motivation. Loving yourself will take care of that.
We are afraid of this, more than anything else in the world. But it is the key that unlocks all doors.
Trust me. I've been on the other side, and loving yourself is so much better than being afraid.
You will not even have to reach for success. You will not have to struggle for it, or work "hard" to get where you want to be. When loving yourself, you will discover that your inner voice is the best coach, dietitian, shrink and support group you will ever need. And success will come all on its own when you accept and love yourself enough to make it feel welcome.
