I am there all day with a information table about Iowa Federation of Handweavers and Spinners. Perhaps we will gain a member or two and maybe some of the groups that make up the federation will gain members because I have information about and a person to contact for each group in the state.
It has been a delight to talk with people about the event to explain that it is shepherds as in a group of people not as in a possession of a shepherd. The site is a renovated school that has been turned into a town meeting hall. The gym and three classrooms are full of vendors of fibery goodness. This is the second market. The first was in April of this year. You can read more here: www.shepherds-market.com
. I know a lot of the vendors and many people that will be going up for the day. One person even asked if I will have chairs for a mini-spin-in at my table. Yes, Yes, and I have three great chairs and will get more if needed! I have two knitting projects (because it is slightly conceivable that I could finish one) and a spindle that I am spinning for lace (ever since last summer!). So I have enough to keep me busy and not bored.
Plus there is shopping!!! I will try to bring back photos to add later today.
