barely able to walk please say a prayer for my foot.......

Friday, November 15, 2013

I can barely walk since the last time I came on here my right foot feels like it has a spike in it and I'm in severe pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This happens a lot but it's rare when it lasts more then a few hours never mind 2 days!
I tried going in the hot tub to see if it would help but it didn't my son has been rubbing my foot my hubby has too but nothing! They even put icy hot on it but the muscle is soooooo tight it won't release, I've been drinking tons of water eating banana's but I'm in severe pain I couldn't make it up the stairs last night so slept on the sofa. I wouldn't say I slept because I didn't....
I went up the stairs this morning on my knees with hubby helping, I can't cook I can't do anything but sit down and I'm really getting frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The longest this has lasted was 3 days in the past I'm hoping tomorrow brings less pain and I'm hoping I can stand on it ... I wanted to iron curtains this week but forget that I can barely put any pressure on it without screaming in pain...
I know it's from either the lyme or fibro, hubby wanted to bring me to the hospital but I didn't hurt myself I just woke up like this and like I said usually lasts a few hours but I don't know the way the weather has been jumping hot / cold/ hot / cold.....
I'm praying my foot feels much better tomorrow

If it is always worst when you wake up, it could well be plantar fasciitis, which comes from your arch muscles becoming weak from under-use (they don't like flat, paved surfaces and fancy shoes that don't allow them to work). I was having this problem for a while in my left foot... excruciating... and the pain can cause bone spurs (oddly enough, they are not what's causing the pain, but they can result)!

It is reversible by working those complex little muscles, doing calf raises on a step and/or walking barefoot or very lightly supported on uneven surfaces like grass and tree roots, etc.. Hope you feel better soon. I have never heard of this as a symptom of Lyme, and something like 50% of my family has had Lyme (we spend a lot of time on Cape Cod where it is hugely prevalent, and near Lyme, CT where it originated!) so if it doesn't improve quickly I would suggest you get to a podiatrist!

Have you tried epsom salt? That has magnesium in it and it does relax the muscles, You could be low on magnesium. Give it a try. Get some of the pills too and take them but don't get the hard pills, the body has a hard time breaking that shell.

praying for your foot to heal quickly! Please be careful! Better to get an injury checked out - than to injure yourself more! Hang in there!
