I can understand there are teams that are great and some that are great but not right for what we need. I join teams and quit as often as I like to keep up with my needs. If I stay, I feel obligated and not accountable. I know I cannot reasonably sleep 8 hours a night (COPD) without lots of drugs, so sometimes I avoid those teams. As a team leader, I totally understand people come and go because I do it too, but if its a personal attack then let the team leader know so it can be handled, we are all here to get healthy, stay healthy and yes have fun. If it wasn't some kind of fun, I'd say phooey. Try different teams and quit if your not into it. This site is for you and you can change every week if you want (not encouraging inconsistency), just till you find the ones right for you. there are also lots of teams that could use some reviving too. emoticon

I've been on a few teams thus far in sparks, and I've had difficulty s/times with certain numbers. For example-- one of the teams I was on pre-blc was super into getting regular ST in, 3 times a week. My personal program does not include lots of ST-- I want to wait until I'm closer to my goal weight to pursue that, and I have my own, sound reasons for that. When I brought that up to the admins of that team, they were able to figure out an alternative for me to track such that I still could take part and feel like a member of the team without going against my own plan.

If it's a wrong fit, it's a wrong fit, and I don't want you staying in any situations that are uncomfortable or not right for you, but if you are a part of a team that you love for other reasons, there may be some work arounds for you to stay on that team. I want you to do what is best for you first, and best for your team second-- if you love the team, I'm sure that there are those that love you, too, and would hate to lose you as a mate.

Sorry its just not a good fit for me, the team as a whole is fantastic, the concept is wonderful. I have alot health issues that hold me back and I cant be on a team that rely on their numbers, I participate the best I can, but cant do everything needed so it makes it a wrong fit For me. its not about being on top , its about learning how to stop struggling.

Sorry to read about your having problems with a team. Have you talked to the head of the team to see what can be done?

I know you've been at it for a long time (so have I...) we need to continue to push, we go through bad seasons but are still putting in the effort. emoticon

Melanie-- I don't know exactly what is happening, but don't let anyone make you feel bad about your own journey to health! You are still here, you are sparking, you are on the right path! You are doing great!

Please let me know if I can do anything to help-- I'm here if you need to talk or anything.

Also, if it's actually a team thing (I don't know which team in particular you are talking about), there are almost always a few folks who administer the team-- is there anyone there you can talk to? If someone is being a negative force towards you, your team admins (at least one you feel comfortable talking to) should know about it-- it is very possible that there is a miscommunication, or that your experience might not be unique and that the negative behavior is also affecting others.

Please let me know if you need anything.
