Needing a reset weekend

We were going to try to have one last week, but then illness hit hard. This weekend will not be all that much better, but I think we can squeeze some us time into it.
I have my daughter's birthday party tomorrow, so I have a little more prep work to do. Tonight I'm making strawberry cupcakes from scratch for her adapting a banana cake recipe I found in my good old 'Better Homes and Gardens' cookbook (that everyone should have in their collection). I'm also picking up some finger food fruit and have some mini pretzel dogs for the girls.
My husband has one little thing to do on Sunday, so I asked if we could go along and do something while he's going to be out anyhow. There are more clothing stores in that direction, so I want to hit up a few for those pajamas I just can't find.
I've also decided to pick up on his hobby and work on some playing surfaces for him. He likes to play miniature games and they require playing surfaces that look interesting and I can probably get his friends interested in my surfaces too, perhaps it's a business opportunity? I enjoyed doing the one side of a game board for him, so I could get into that.
I did start trying to find my sexy yesterday. I did shave my legs...
I'm hoping that I'll get my happy back this week, starting this weekend after all the hoopla is done. Next step, explaining that happy married fun time has to start outside the bedroom. As a woman, I don't go from 0 to 100 as quickly as my husband. Complimenting my housekeeping skills does not count as foreplay.
I know that once we get past this bump it will be easier to get back on track with my weight. It's been a bumpy couple of weeks (brought on by years of stuff), but I know that we can work toward a happy place.
