Unintended Benefit of Eating Less

Friday, November 15, 2013

Spending less on food!!! I keep thinking I need to go get groceries, but this is my day 26 of the calorie correction course I've been on. Since eating less daily, there's little need to run to the store.

BTW, I absolutely HATE tracking. It's one of my many rebellions But I'm making myself do it and have been within my range for these 26 days.

Wishing all a happy day.

I'm a no show on the tracking thing also...but I DO know that this is the only effective way to shave down my portions. I have avoided a Costco run for almost a month now. I love that store...but with only the two of us..I get stuff that stays in the freezer for WAY too long. Sometimes it's not even cost effective to buy such huge portions because then I think I have to cool huge.

I'm proud of you...you are doing GREAT! The only GOOD thing about tracking in my eyes is the points...but I know it's a necessary tool. emoticon emoticon emoticon

That's awesome! Someday I will get there. It seems like I still over buy and then I end up throwing stuff away. I don't like tracking, but it sure does help.

That is a great perk. I admire your dedication. I hate tracking too but I love the benefits of the structure.
Hope you have a nice weekend.

Super! Spending less on food means wasting less. Tracking is a big pain but worth it in the end.

We have the added benefit that our son moved out. We don't buy much either now.

Good job on the tracking! I hate it too.

Agree wholeheartedly. I am amazed at how much less food I've needed to purchase. I'm using that as an excuse to buy really expensive cheeses and high quality ingredients. Even buying the good stuff, my grocery bill has been so much lower. Thanks for reminding me of that.

    Way to go!

Yes, I hate tracking also. My doctor insists on it when I'm on program. Since I'm not right now I get a respite! I guess I should thank my family for being here and cooking, right?
