HIIT, finally did it.

Well, its official, I now know what HIIT is. I am quite sure I did the High Intensity Interval Training last night. And wow was it a killer. I walked to the gym for a good warm up. Then hopped on the bike and proceeded to kick my own butt. I spun easy from level 5 up to level 9 as a warm up then wham, bumped it to level 20 fro 75 seconds. Then back down to level 8 to recover for the balance of 5 minutes. Then hit level 19 for 80 seconds. At each interval I dropped it down a level and increased the time by 5 seconds. Talk about a killer workout. I used level 15 for my last interval and while 2 nights ago I ran at level 15 for 5 minutes, last night I thought the 1:35 was about all I could handle. Of course by then I had completed 5 pretty intense intervals.
I am not sore today which is surprising, but I probably should be. But wow it was a workout. Luckily today and tomorrow will be fairly easy spin days of just steady cardio. Sunday will be my next interval day as I plan to space them out a bit more than every other day. Hopefully that works.
Well, as always looking forward to the weekend. I donít have much planned but am going out tonight. I plan to behave though. Maybe a beer or 2 but no food. It fits in my overall calorie range for the day so I should be good that way. I think I am finally getting back on track and have been reasonable this week. Nothing too bad and didnít even feel the need to snack last night. So, I finally feel like things are getting back in place. None too soon I might add.
Got the hotel booked for Florida and the manatee snorkel trip. Not sure the kids have figured out this may impact Christmas presents but I know my youngest will have a memory to last a lifetime. She is as close to being a manatee freak as you can get in Ohio. She has done 2 different reports on them for school and just thinks they are the coolest things since ipod touches. Which is what she wants. Lol
