A little while back I was feeling like something needed to change if I was going to move forward with my weight loss and my out look on....everything. So I took the first big step and that was to walk away from a few things that was keeping me from actually getting up and really moving instead of just "talking" about it. So first thing was I closed out my FaceBook account, this was a HUGE hinder for me so it needed to go along with all the drama and negativity. Next, I decided I needed to back away from SparkPeople for a little bit as I was spending most of my free time on here. Wow, then I had all this free time....it was kinda overwhelming as I wasn't sure what I should do or where I should start. After a lot of pacing and tons of sighs I sat down and wrote out a list of what I REALLY wanted for myself and what everything boiled down to was it wasn't about weight loss or my looks it was about being TRULY happy, healthy and peaceful. My journey has brought me to yoga and with this my whole life has changed. I have not only found true peace but I have found a place of belonging. I now spend 2-3 hours engaging in yoga practice followed by meditation and a mantra or 2 and I have started studying another language. I have also started up a small group for people to come together for support and inspiration as I feel that there is not enough positive in people's day to day lives.
