Today was crazy. Just have had a ton to do the last two days and now that I'm at the end of it and facing this weekend, I'm looking forward to getting through it all. I skipped on the gym today because I was neck-deep in trying to get my apartment in shape when my boyfriend called and was ready to go. He works nights and so obviously sleeps in the AM. By the afternoon I'm usually wrapped up in something else. And to be honest, I'm just not feeling it today. I feel like I would only be phoning it in if I went and I was doing tons of lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling today at home. Among some things I got done was all the carpets vacuumed and then steam cleaned, reorganized the closets and under bed storage, and started pulling stuff out for Christmas.
Anyways, the point of today's blog is about finding inspiration. One time when the girls and I were out, we stumbled upon the local police beginning their special Olympics torch relay. So naturally, we hung around, talked to some people, took some pictures.
One of the little things I picked up there was a necklace that says
"Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in my attempt."
I love that saying, and I use it a lot to get me through tough times. Another is the saying that was printed in giant bold black letters across the cafeteria in my highschool.
"How we spend our days is how we spend our lives."
I'd love to hear some other's inspirations, doesn't necessarily have to be quotes. Have a good night, Sparkers.
