Soup Or Olive Oil?

Thursday, November 14, 2013

This may seem like an odd question, but according to HEALTH-The Reader's Digest Version one of these choices may be your answer if dessert after a meal is your downfall. Their advice, as I have also read here on Spark is - always order a cup of healthy soup {vegetable, noodle, tomato} or a slice of bread with two tablespoons of dipping olive oil as your starter. Either of these will fill you up so you'll eat less later. In fact olive oil prompts the release of a stomach hormone called cholecystokinin, which suppresses appetite.

I love soup and have found it is a great lunch for me to stay full in the afternoon. Interesting about bread and olive oil. You read the best stuff!

With the winter month's ahead, soup sounds like a great new habit. I wonder if bruschetta would be the same. Thanks for the information.

Have a wonderful weekend and golf for me (to cold here).
