Christmas Goal!

Thanks to my awesome texting friend we now have a plan to lose weight, eat healthier and workout. We text each other when we workout and give encouragement. I love Sparkpeople but I don't have a smartphone and I sometimes need somebody right this second to give me the boost I need. So I'm extremely thankful to her.

My Christmas Goals:

*To be back out of the 250s by Christmas. It's only 7.01 pounds and 6 weeks to go. Totally doable!

*Workout 5 days a week, at least 2 days at the gym. (Right now my only setback is my daughter. Yesterday I tried to get to the gym in time to use their daycare and she screamed and cried and refused to eat before we left so I got there within 15 minutes of closing. My husband convinced me to stay anyway and I did 11 minutes as fast as I could on the elliptical. Then I got home and did 20 minutes on my own elliptical. The little time at the gym gave me the boost I needed! So it was worth the trip to the gym. I have to remember that!)

*Cut out all the high sugar items. I'm not one to completely limit any part of my diet... but to just be within reason. I lost 45 pounds before I got pregnant and didn't have to give up anything. However this time, (partly thanks to my text buddy!) I realized how out of control my sugar is. I started drinking juice for breakfast and realized it has an insane amount of sugar. It's like half the recommended daily intact. I'm not going to stop eating fruit or any clean eating that has natural sugars... I'm taking about stopping adding sugar to my tea and that sort. I used to drink it without sweetener and then I started. So I know I can cut that out easily.)

*Write in my journal everyday until Christmas. My husband gave me a journal to write only happy thoughts into for our 3rd year anniversary. I loved it but after moving totally stopped doing it. It really helped my mood and my anxiety. I think if I keep having positive thoughts to write down, I'm more likely to stick with losing weight and getting healthier. I tend to do bad when I'm moody!

This is my goal after that! My aunt found this amazing sale and got to stuff a bag full of dresses (talking prom and bridesmaid dresses!) for $2. Yeah... $2!!! So she got all different sizes for everybody in the family! She even found one for me! Partly because of my nursing, it doesn't currently fit around my bust, but if I lose some of my back flab I know it will! So this is my next clothing goal! To fit into this dress!!

    Aw, your little girl is so adorable. I wish you luck in your goal, you can totally do it. I hear you on the sugar, I don't know if they have it in your area but what has helped me is organic sugar. It hasn't been bleached white and is a little bit sweeter that conventional white sugar so I tend to used less of it, also when I do bake it helps me omit brown sugar since the molasses hasn't been pulled out of it. For tea, have you tried raw or unfiltered honey? Its sweeter and stronger in flavor than filtered honey so you don't need as much of it. Anyway, good luck!

    how great that you have a friend you can do that with! Sounds like great motivation and how sweet about the journal what great idea I may have to try it!
