I'm sure you're all probably happy to hear that I am not as tired as I have been. Still tired, but not exhausted. That's an improvement right? But still...working for the weekend. I think mostly because the faster time goes by, the sooner I will be able to get to NJ and spend time with my mom (and the rest of my family). Soon enough, soon enough.
I found a place I can donate my hair too that will take 8 inches even if its been colored/processed. So I think sometime soon I will be donating my hair in honor of my mom. Though she wont be able to receive it, I feel like it's a way to show my support for her.
Yesterday I was kind of freaking out because you all know I am a bit OCD (been discussing this with my therapist recently) and I always need to have a plan - especially for my workouts. And since I was sick on Tuesday and missed my workouts, and I just started T25 on Monday, I was freaking out about how to make it all up. The stupid things I worry about. *sigh* But I talked with a friend via email and figured it all out. So after work I did my planned 2 mile run (ok, planned to do 3 but I got to the gym later than planned), then went home and made up Tuesday's T25 workout yesterday. I liked this one better than Monday's! When I finished up I had just enough time to eat dinner before my scheduled phone date with my law school bff! (That's why I felt like I had to cut my run short - I didnt want to miss my phone date!) It was so great to catch up with her and we spent an hour and a half on the phone. I love that even though we dont see each other very often whenever we do catch up it is like no time as passed. I definitely needed that and I felt a lot happier afterwards!
This morning I tried my new protein powder that I ordered from True Nutrition. It was gross :( *sigh* I mixed it with almond milk and ice and put it in a blender. It's super chalky and icky. I reached out to my fellow Sweat Pink Ambassadors on facebook and got a ton of new recommendation and two of them are sending me samples, so I've got options. I dont think protein everyday, but I like it for when I've had a rough workout and am feeling really sore.
Yesterday I signed up to run two 5ks in the upcoming weeks! One is a Turkey Trot 5k while I am in NJ (a high school friend might run with me, and law school bff might run it, too!). I also signed up for the Ugly Christmas Sweater 5k here in Colorado Springs the following week. I signed up for it last year and didnt run it :( so I will definitely make sure to run it this year. Exciting! I havent run a 5k race since April!
Work is still on a downward movement as far as productive things that need to be done. It's still a slow time, but I keep looking at my calendar and I am well-aware that come January it is going to pick up again with one court-martial, and two preliminary hearings, but possibly even more than that all within a 2 month period, so I think I will enjoy this downtime for now. :)
No plans so far for the weekend, except running on Saturday morning. And more quilting. Perhaps between now and then more ideas will pop up.
