I have been super busy. I have many projects to finish for Christmas, and lots of appointments. I don't know about anyone else, but I hope I finish the projects quick. I don't think it is going to go as quickly as I want as the quilts are time consuming. The other projects are not super easy either. Everything takes longer than I expect. My fibromyalgia can and does play a big part in that. I didn't get all the summer projects done that I wanted to get done, but I will have them on my list for next year. Maybe the weather, my body, and state of mind will be better and more cooperative. We are having furnace issues, which have interfered with the projects and exercise that I want to do. I do not function well in the cold. I try to keep moving around to help with staying warm, but if my hands are too cold I cannot work on the crafts right. Furnace guy is supposed to be out today. Hopefully better than the idiot we called last year. My husband had to correct a bunch of stuff he did. Then it ran all winter until spring, and then started acting up again. Last year was the first we had any problems with it since we got it. It is a fuel oil furnace with electronic components. The electronic components make it harder to work on. My husband could fix the problems with the other furnace until it gave out. I appreciate my husband tremendously. We do not need repair people for hardly anything as he does electric, plumbing, building, sewer, and many more. The car can be tricky because so many computer components in the car, so that goes to the garage to fix and thank God we found a reliable one that does the work correctly and doesn't over charge. They have looked at things for us and if nothing is wrong they do not charge us for the checking, test drive, and testing for us. Money is so tight with all the prices going up on everything. Every time you turn around the prices have gone up again. Chocolate is outrageous, but we buy several types for the grandkids for the different holidays and have a little for us. Anyway, my wish is to be done or almost done with all the handmade items by the end of the month. It will cause less stress to make sure things are done. I should have been working on them more during the summer. Oh well things usually work out, I just want to prevent some of the Christmas rush. We love all the grandchildren and more will come through the years as Mandi & Brandon will be trying one more time for a boy, and our youngest daughter has not had any yet. She needs to find the right partner first and her luck with the guys she has dated just haven't been Mr. Right yet. It gets costly to make sure all the grandkids get stuff from Grandma and Grandpa as well as the rest of the family we buy for. We all agree that the kids are the most important to get for. I stress to the kids to make sure they are buying for their families first before anything for us. We understand all to well how stretched money gets for the season. As we get older, and their kids get older, a great present for me would be to help put up and take down the stuff for Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday and have a lot (emphasis on lot!!!) to put up. I don't know when I would want to do less. Holiday lights are calming and make me Happy, so they are a great help to have up. Every room gets lights and decorations. My husband helps with some of the light putting up, but putting the nic nacs, Christmas village (which has gotten very big) and all of that to me. He does help with the meals though and does a lot for those which is a huge help. Hope all of you are able to get all your stuff done early and make the holidays a real enjoyment!
