Gun Safetey Class

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

Two Christmas' ago, DH gave me a Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 38 Special Revolver. I finally took the tag off of it today!! Today's class was two hours of safety instructions. Following the instructions, we went to the shooting range and got to practice.

Loved every minute of it. The last round was an attempt to completely shoot out the center red target. Here's a picture of my grouping. Didn't quite shoot out the circle, but I'm pretty happy with the outcome!!!

Wow, sharp shooting for your first time! I would like to take classes too since we have 2 guns in the house.

Great job!

My birthday gift was HK P30 9MM

I love it!

Ammo is hard to find and more expensive though....

That looked really good! I went shooting with the kids one time, the thing that struck me the most was the noise! Those suckers are loud! I'm glad you are taking the class, it's such a good idea to know how to safely handle a weapon.

You are good! My dad wants me to learn how to fire. If I do, I also want to take that class.

I don't have the mindset necessary to use a gun.
You did a great job. I hope the safety information is firmly planted in your head.

You did emoticon . I have a 9 mm Glock. I have had it for many years. We would take it when we went camping & hiking up in the woods. I went through my canceled weapon program & got my permit so if I want I can Carrie it anywhere. I don't walk around with it, but I do have it where I can get it fast if I need it.

Be safe with it & if you have kids or grandkids make sure it is locked up. So many people don't.

I think it's a great Xmas present. I just took a concealed weapons class but not sure I'll ever use it. It makes me too nervous to carry a gun around all the time.

You're a great shot!!

I've made a note concerning your accuracy and it will affect the intensity of my comments in the future.

Seriously Barb, I am glad you took the class. There are so many people who go off half cocked and end up hurting themselves or those around them.

I would like for you to be around tormenting me for a long time.

Well, I guess a gun is better than a vacuum cleaner for Christmas! emoticon I've always thought that shooting would be fun. And, you did a great job!!!
