Feeling BLAH!

My motivation has been lacking lately and I'm struggling to get it back. My exercising is still going well but it is the eating that is getting in the way. I've gained 5 pounds back since my lowest weight. When I go to eat something unhealthy I try to say no but I eat it anyway and then feel horrible. I sit and try to think of why I ate the food when I knew I shouldn't but for the life of me can't figure out why. I'm stuck in a rut. The worst part is the holidays are coming and the junk food is going to be more readily available. I'm asking you my Spark family for any tips or motivation that will help me stay on track. Thank you!

    Motivation for me is very spotty at this time of year. I don't like the cold, the damp or the dark much. I think historically our bodies are getting ready to slow down (no gardening, harvesting, etc) for the winter, kind of like bears. Then we add on all the extra holiday goodies... eek!

Anyway how can I help you stay accountable and motivated? I have a vacation coming up at the end of December that is helping me stay a bit more focused (5-ish) weeks to go and it's in the Caribbean so it means shorts, bathing suits and such.

    Struggling here, too, but the last 3 days have gotten back in control, so I'd just say don't be too hard on yourself and never EVER give up. Just get right back on track! You can do it!

    Stay positive! Your exercise is still going strong so that's a plus! Holidays are hard, I've found that it's better to not limit yourself - get a small plate and fill it with a few different goodies, then throw the plate away and be done with eating! Much better than continuous nibbling! Stay strong, you can do it!
