I hate my scale!!!

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

So I get on the scale this morning thinking I'd be the same as last week ( and the week before ) but nooooooo!!! I managed to gain 2 pounds! I moved the scale to various spots in the room, but it didn't change the fact that I gained exactly 2 pounds. I couldn't even take more clothes off because I didn't have much on at the time. Needless to say, I'm beyond upset with myself but I know what I have to do - get back on track & track everything I do & eat. I have been slacking lately & have gotten a little lazy, so it really serves me right.

My new short term goal is to lose those stupid 2 pounds in 2 weeks. emoticon

We all have ups and downs - I stayed the same for over a month and the scale finally moved down a pound on Monday. So just look at your over all progress and be proud - I am proud of you.

I'm not a big fan of the scale either....I try not to use it often because I know weight can fluctuate sometimes. I know you can get back on track, and soon those numbers will go down again! emoticon emoticon

Don't stress about it - those COULD be "make-believe" pounds. These are the pounds I gain when I eat too much salt, have a heavy meal the night before, or any of a variety of other behaviors that cause the scale to go (temporarily) beserk. I used to weigh myself every day because of this kind of sudden up/down. Now I don't worry about it too much - I just continue with the healthy behaviors I know pay off in the long run!

I know the feeling. Sometimes you just want to throw it out the door.
