Day 227 - Really Pushed Myself

I did 4 grueling miles on the treadmill last night with my husband in the room, something I normally do not do... emoticon

This morning I am a little sore but mostly in my lower back. emoticon

My puppy woke up too early (4 am) and I took the puppy into my son's bedroom - he was not home - and tried getting some Zzzzz's with the puppy playing next to me. emoticon

His bed is all foamy and very expensive with the pillow being high. I am thinking that is what caused my lower back pain. emoticon

Anyway, I took two Aleve with my inhaler and did my treadmill! emoticon

I jogged a mile, then walked a mile at various incline levels emoticon and then back to jogging the last mile...with some walking in between the jogging. emoticon

I think I need to start doing stretching for my muscles...I am stiff all over! emoticon

Anyway, I pushed myself and I am pleased! I hope that this will help get over this stubborn plateau I have been on for awhile... emoticon

    Four miles is fantastic!! If you have the time to commit, I'd try running slower for longer. I find that this is much nicer on my parts that tend to ache after a run. Just a thought! :D Good luck!

    You'll break through it! Interval training is the way to go. I would recommend stretching for sure and maybe some strength training. That busted through my plateau! emoticon
